2016 Week 43

This weeks highlight are for work on clients, #88 and #106. It includes the unravelling of some critical business logic and a brand new system for client #106.

Somewhere in there I also earned the Winter 16 Release Trailhead badge.

Client #88

a. System Logic architecture

Business Problem: System Architecture requires a fresh overhaul so that it is aligned with how the business operates today and will allow for future automation in the near future to enable further rapid growth.

Solution Design: Map every historical product combination so that the system can make decisions rather than people.

Completed Work: Mapping of 69 product combinations with business logic to be performed for each combination.

Client #106

A. MAIN DELIVERABLE

Business Problem: No current client database.

Solution Design: Deliver a simplified version of salesforce.com that only has the minimum fields to enable easy training and adoption.  Build on features over time as the team becomes more familiar with how it works and what they want.

Completed Work: New instance of Salesforce.com in the new Lightning interface for a clean fresh look and have a minimum change between the desktop and mobile versions for a team that is mostly out of the office.

Technology Used: Saleforce.com, Salesforce1 mobile app, Salesforce Lightning.

Challenge: A team that has never used Salesforce before.

Nice to deliver a nice new instance of Salesforce.com
